What Have You Done?

We’re running out of time!

I don’t know where this year went. Seriously. Winter lasted like, forever, and then there was spring. Summer was here, and then it wasn’t, and now there are only three weeks left of 2011. Makes me wonder what I’ve done this year.

I know I’ve written another book, queried a LOT of agents, been to a number of conferences, etc, etc, etc. But really, what have I done?

I loved my family, made priceless memories with the people I love most in the world (friends and family), tried to be of service to others, and put together beautiful words that will someday mean something to someone else.

All in all, I’d say 2011 has been good to me. What about you? What have you done this year?

I've taken care of and supported four kids and a husband. Volunteered for 3 writerly organizations. Worked an amazing day gig and live out my 'super mom' superhero late night hours writing. I've written 3 mss, queried a ton of agents, published one book, promoted 2 books and sold enough of them to shock myself :-D.

WOW! That's an impressive list. I'd say you've been productive. Cheers to that!

I'll be honest, I kind of squandered my year as far as personal goals. But I like to think that I loved others, tried to be a good friend, a good wife, and a good mom. And that's a pretty good year for me. =]

Love your list Nichole! Congrats on all you've done!

I learned to do things I felt uncomfortable doing... and learned that I could actually do them (teaching). And that I could face things that were really difficult, that I wouldn't want to do again, but I could if I had to. ;)
